      <image:title>Blog - I Will Rise</image:title>
<image:caption>Piccadilly Circus on a weekend night. Pic taken on my Google Pixel phone in Mar 2019. In the 19th century, London was infamously filthy - it had choking, sooty fogs; the Thames River was thick with human sewage; and the streets were covered with mud. London has since built from its past to being the leading financial center of the world (pre-Brexit) and one of the most visited cities in the world, with over 40 million visitors in 2018. Your past doesn’t determine you. My past work doesn’t determine me. My present and future do.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Strava Flyby is a cool feature from Strava. Here, you could study the route you and someone else on the same trail took, and where you "passed" each other. Typically this feature is used to compare speed (how quickly someone went and "passed" you), but in my case, I was analyzing at which point Steve and I got separated on the mountain.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - The Plot To Steal Joy: Day 21</image:title>
<image:caption>An active and agile three-year-old girl I met at Buttermilk Boulders in Bishop, California in May 2016. She was climbing rocks, no kidding, at 3! Her parents are avid rock climbers - they brought her and their six-month old infant out into the desert to explore and climb rocks as they lived out of their van. I mean, the mom was nursing (breast-feeding) her infant in the desert! I thought, these guys are utterly cool! They’re not letting their lives be bound, held down or dictated by the responsibilities of caring for their children - they bring their children with them everywhere they went - even out into the dirty and dusty desert where daily necessities and conveniences are lacking - and they are joyful. They taught me much about how I want to raise my kids in future.</image:caption>

I believe in the power of vision - if you can see it, speak it, and claim it, it will soon be yours. Naive? No, I don't think so. Change begins first in our minds, and then our circumstances will change. As I sit in this model home, I'm seeing a glimpse into my future and claiming it to come to pass.</image:caption>

<image:caption>My husband and I visited a sweet tiny model house (640 sqft) built by BluHomes on Mare Island, Vallejo, CA. What captivated me about the model house isn’t merely the quality prefabricated build and exquisite interior finishes; rather, it is that inexplicable sense of peace and joy that transcend understanding. It’s almost as if the house is beckoning you home, literally. I turned to my husband and asked him, is it at all possible that living in a home like this, a couple would quarrel less often, because the atmosphere in the home promotes harmony and tranquility? He was at a lost for words. I think he agreed with me.</image:caption>

As long as you are choosing to eat right 90% of the time, it’s ok to indulge in your favorite treats once in awhile. I certainly do. Like this heavenly slice of bread pudding from La Boulangerie in San Francisco.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - Timing is everything</image:title>
<image:caption>I captured this shot in Yosemite National Park in January 2012. This is the world famous Ansel Adams tunnel view. Who is Ansel Adams? He is a legendary American photographer whose most famous works include hundreds of black and white photographs he took in Yosemite between 1930s and 1940s. What is the tunnel view? It is a tunnel dug through the western end of Yosemite Valley which upon coming out of it, presents you with this incredible view of Yosemite's granite, lush green and waterfall. Timing is very important to photography as it is in all manner of life. With the right timing, season, lighting and circumstance, you can capture either a gripping or gnarly shot.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Race morning, looking sleepy and coffee in hand. Joseph is a very, very good friend who sponsored my second WildFlower race this year (2016) - he paid for the expensive registration fee and took care of the transportation and accommodation. All I had to do was to train, show up, and race. I'm extremely thankful for his generosity and for getting me to race again, after a three-year hiatus (my last Ironman race was in 2013). Joseph gave probably one of his best performances during this race - he upped his age group ranking from 29th position to 6th position, and finished the race two hours before I did. What a badass!</image:caption>

<image:caption>My first Wildflower Triathlon race in 2013. I had a blast then, training weekly with my triathlete friends Tom Vo (left) and Manly Danh (right), and racing together. I must say I am an extremely blessed girl. This first WildFlower race was also paid for. I don't have a lot of money, but angels like these good friends saw my love for the sport and sponsored the registration fee, transportation and accommodation. Three years later in 2016, another good friend, Joseph (pictured above) would also sponsor my race.</image:caption>

I felt so at ease, so awed and so blown away, all at the same time, looking down into the deep blue lake and layers after layers of mountain in the horizon. That moment there, standing on the peak, it truly epitomized the phrase "takes me breath away".</image:caption>
